Established circa 1920 by William John Kruse and Clara Putzge Kruse in Kekaha, Kauai,The Kruse House was moved to Waimea Plantation Cottage in September 2002. It is a two-story, five bedroom fully air-conditioned home; each room with a private bathroom.

The unique feature of this specialty house is that each bedroom features a private entrance that can be secured for additional privacy. Many corporate retreats use this home for their meetings and gatherings because of the privacy it offers.

The first floor living space includes; living room, dining room, kitchen with breakfast area, garden patio, three bedrooms with bathrooms. Outside near the patio door is a private hammock for relaxing with a good book amidst the gardens that surround this special cottage.

The second floor features: a master suite with bathroom and seating room with a kitchenette. There are two twin bedrooms with two bathrooms that have a panoramic view of the coconut grove and ocean.
